Catalina Island Surprise Engagement: Sean and Jennie

Updated: Jun 7, 2020

From the moment Sean called and told me the plan, I was in. On an early Saturday morning, I would fly to LA, secretly take the ferry with Sean and Jennie to Catalina Island, hop into a golf cart, and beat them up to the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden for the proposal and engagement shoot. Jennie had always wanted to visit Catalina Island, and this was Sean's chance to make it a memory to last a lifetime.

The plans were seamlessly coming together and the weather was perfectly unnoticeable. When leaving the bustling downtown Avalon, Catalina's natural beauty beckons you towards her quiet hills. Sean and Jennie strolled through the garden toward the memorial in nervousness and glee stopping now and then to soak in their surroundings.

It wasn't long before Jennie was beaming from ear to ear. She said, "of course!" and sparkled the beautiful engagement ring on her finger. Glowing with excitement, the love birds floated around the breathtaking island absorbing the reality that this long-awaited season of engagement had officially begun. Not only were they about to embark on planning a wedding, but more importantly, they were about to become partners for the rest of their lives!

Congratulations Sean and Jennie! May you always take time to soak in what God is doing in and through you as He knits the two of you together for His glory! Blessings, beauty, and love from our family to yours.
